Acorn Cups

These two acron cup seats were carved from a section of Oak stem, as part of the series of seats, made in and for Cyfartha Park, Merthyr Tydfil. This project was funded by Glamorgan Gates. The inside surface of the cups was roughed out with the saw, then sanded to create a smooth surface, and comfortable to sit in.

Functional and attractive, a reflection of the natural history of the area.
