Miner

This piece was the last piece at Cyfarthfa Park for Glamorgan Gates . see also furniture page. The figure is pushing an old explosives dram, which had been painted and soon to be planted up, as another feature in the new Sensory Garden.

To be in keeping with the colourful floral display, it was decided to stain the Cedar from which the miner was carved, to add a striking visual as well as tactile element to the piece.
